Now whenever players log into a given server, they are placed in a queue with a seemingly arbitrary number indicating their queue position. Two days after launch, a brand new problem has arisen during the login process.
Granted, even though a number of assumptions could have been made about the sheer amount of players interested in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, dealing with the actual server load in real time is an entirely different proposition. While this is an MMO during its launch window, there’s been a fair amount of outrage towards the development team for not anticipating this level of server load, especially after a Beta testing period earlier this year. Unsurprisingly, Bethesda and Zenimax Online reported that this was due to the massive amount of players attempting to log in all at once.
